I finally found some of the pictures of the cards I have made in the last year or so. Please forgive me for posting so late afterwards. I had great intentions of keeping the blog current and like many others time has just slipped away.
Here is one of the very firsts I made when I discovered SCS and became involved in the swaps. I had just recently obtained the SU Haute Couture set from ebay and was anxious to try it out. The swap was titled "Vintage Dress" and I thought this was perfect as it reminded me back in the day when dresses were satin and fitting to the figure very much of the Jean Harlow era. Now mind you I am not that old LOL!! But back then it was all about being totally feminine and looking like you had just stepped out of a ban box. My mother always used to say that when I was growing up and I am assuming it meant looking like a million dollars even if you didn't have it. Of course those were the days of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire dancing and I thought the sentiment of the stamp from Inkadinkado did it justice: "Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, (and this was the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card)... but she did it backwards and in high heels". I love being a female don't you?
