Why Are People Hurtful?

I have nothing to post today, but I am having the need to vent. I have received some not so nice emails sent to me in regards to my latest postings of the cards that I have made and as I sit here and ask the Lord why, I am calming myself in prayer and feeling the comfort of His arms around me assuring me to let it go and to just pray for them as maybe they aren't of the Christian Faith or are struggling within their own faith. God is so Awesome!

It all has to do with statements saying "how can you post these when there is no stamping involved?" Or these are just pictures there isn't any talent here... Excuse Me? I have chosen to use the pictures on my cards as a different way to express the talent that my DH has and was given to him by the Lord himself and to show a different take on making cards. I agree that there needs to be sentiments to go with them, but that doesn't mean they are any less nice or artistic just because an image wasn't stamped, colored and fixated to the card. I believe I have used various mediums in making these cards and have received numerous complimenting comments from my sister stampers, neighbors, family and friends. And to be really honest here, with the way the economy is right now and having my hours cut, it means that I have had to really tighten my budget and I have chosen to use what I already have in my craft room and sort through disks upon disks of pictures. You know the Lord says we are to be good stewards of our finances and all that he gives us in everything. I am sorry for having to vent, but sometimes you just need to get it off your chest. You know what I mean? Thanks for listening.

Oh my goodness, sweetie. How rude!!! I cannot believe it. Honestly, I think your cards made with your hubby's fantastic photography are so beautiful that they would sell in a local boutique!!! I'm serious! I love that you are using the hurtful comments to draw you closer in your faith. I've been feeling those wonderful blessings from Him and just being called to realize how wonderful and amazing He really is after stepping away from Him for quite some time. Don't let anyone discourage you - I love your cards and think they are uniquely beautiful. Besides, this is YOUR blog - who cares if it has stamping or not....I hope you will continue to post and share the beautiful are you share with your husband's talent. **hugs**

Debb; I was by here earlier admiring your work and was going to leave a comment but decided to wait to later, :).I think your pictures and cards are gorgeous, the bridial one is the must stunning card I have seen. Do not let people bother you, remember they were cruel to Christ the Savior of the world. One thing I have found, you can not make every one happy. Stay true to yourself, because all of our creativity is from God and flows in different ways, and what flows from you is from HIM,

Deb, I'm so very sorry you've received these hateful comments. You know it's the enemy pounding you and there seems to be an awful lot of that happening lately. I'm glad that you could see it for what it is. One thing that's vital to remember is when somebody acts like this to you, they're really sinning against God so it's nothing personal and that gets you off the hook. It's saved me quite a bit of times remembering that. Many hugs and much love to you.

OMG! I'm just shocked to hear that people would actually leave rude comments like that! How inappropriate! Obviously, these people didn't have a good mother telling them that "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". What is wrong with this world!! Obviously they are just hateful, mean-spirited people. I happen to love your work, and I love that people are willing to post anything at all. Please don't let some losers discourage your freedom of expression. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thank you for sharing and venting with us! We are here for you!

I don't understand some people sometimes! This is Your blog and Your time to Express Yourself and Your crafty artistry! Please do not take anything those people and their emails to heart. I visit crafty and artistic blogs of ALL kinds....stamping, scrapping, stitching, painting, etc., etc.! There can be something inspiring from all of them, even from the ones that use methods and mediums that I do not use. You just keep doing what you are doing and have fun with it!!! :>:>:>

Deborah, I am so sorry that there are people who choose to take the joy out of your blogging. One of the reasons we have a blog is to express ourselves and our art in the way that we desire for ourselves. I very much enjoy all the beautiful pictures/cards you display here. The photos are fabulous and your ability to display them is great too. Please keep doing what you love so others can enjoy coming and seeing your work.

Hi Deborah, I am a straggler from Cupid's Charms Beautiful Blogging party. I had surgery and was unable to visit all of the blogs beforehand. I want to tell you that I think your blog and your cards are beautiful. You don't have to defend your art to anyone. It made me sad that someone would stop and take the time to send such negativity to you about their art and what you choose to display on your blog. It is so sad that some people are so miserable and bitter they try to sew their seeds of misery everywhere they go. I am sorry you had to experience this. Stop by and see me sometime. I'll definitely be popping back by to see your lovely blog.
